KCC is partnering with Freedom Builders to construct a wheelchair ramp on Friday, April 27th. If you are available to help, please call Tony Makinson at 989-714-6192. 5-6 people are needed. They would prefer to work on Friday, April 27th, but may be able to build on Saturday, April 28th.

Kalkaska County Treasurer Valerie Thompson is the 2018 Citizen of the Year for Kalkaska while All Seasons Hotel & Resort was named the Business of the Year. The award recipients will be honored at this year’s event sponsored by Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Michigan and the Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation. Following the awards, Networks Northwest will have a presentation on economic development in Kalkaska. Tickets are available at www.tcchamber.org

Believe is a high-energy weekend event for Jr. high students only. It’s structured specifically for Jr. high students and is packed with powerful worship and teaching from God’s Word. While at Believe, students not only worship together but also engage in life-challenging discussions with their peers and adult leaders. As they go through the weekend, they discover ways in which God is calling them to be Kingdom workers in their schools, communities and the world.

CIY SuperStart is a high-energy weekend for all 4th and 5th grade students where they learn and grow in their relationships with friends, leaders and most importantly God. KCC will be taking kids to the Chicago, IL location of SuperStart. Registration deadline is Tuesday, March 13th. Scholarships are available for regular attenders of the Kalkaska Church of Christ children’s programs. Please contact the church office for more information.

If you are new to the church, we want to connect with you. Register for Discover KCC to learn about what we believe, how we operate, and how to get more involved with KCC! All materials and dinner provided. Childcare reimbursement is available for parents who attend. Hire a babysitter for the evening, pay them, and the church will reimburse you for the cost.

Good Friday stations Please sign up for a specific time over the 4 hour period. We’ll start a new person every 2 minutes. Plan on about a half hour to walk through individually. We suggest 12 or 13 years or older to appreciate the walk-thru. We’ll have a place for children to play while their parents walk through.

First Impressions volunteers (Greeters, Ushers, PART Dept., and Information Station) are encouraged to attend this practical training on best practices to welcoming people to KCC. It goes way beyond opening doors and handing out bulletins.
